I was able to boot from this on my laptop. I did have to tweak the bios, but that was particular to my laptop. There should be a function key that you can use at startup to bring up your boot option menu.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In theory "maybe" it's basically an usb3 hdd enclosure type of device so if your pc allows for booting OS off usb3 storage, then you might be able to, I would not recommend it because of possible latency when converting from SATA to usb3 signal and doing random reads/writes, that all has to go through the usb3 controller. The only way to find out is to try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've been able to do so but have only tested with a Raspberry Pi, which caused problems reading a 2.5" drive and couldn't boot off a 3.5" one at all (probably because of USB 2.0 being a little too slow for the pi).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not a USB dock..it is to use with internal SSD and normal internal hard drives.
