• Yes, it will work. The USB spec Requires all USB 3.xx hardware to be backward compatible with USB 2.x and USB 1.x

• I reviwed the instructions that came with my docking station and it says that it supports USB 3.0. No mention of 2.0 so I would guess that 2.0 would not work. Sorry.
