9:00 AM 2/6/2021 we changed the temperature setting to -2 degree as suggested by a fellow user ... will monitor and update with results

We were having a similar issue. I set the freezer to -2 and it doesn't have nearly the temp swings it had when set to zero. Someone from Insignia said it was because ot the freezer going through defrost cycles.

When the freezer is defrosting you might notice internal temperature swings, this is normal behavior.
