• We were having a similar issue. I set the freezer to -2 and it doesn't have nearly the temp swings it had when set to zero. Someone from Insignia said it was because ot the freezer going through defrost cycles.

• When the freezer is defrosting you might notice internal temperature swings, this is normal behavior.
