The product description already states exactly what you said. We know the freezer works based on all the reviews. If you read previous reviewers' questions they are asking if the refrigerator setting maintains the proper temp settings that one would expect from a refrigerator. This question is very important because the FDA recommends a temp between 35 and 38. Anything over 40 degrees can cause serious illness. Multiple users report the refrigerating setting will not get below 40 degrees. Not sure how other user's questions were answered by the manufacturer and this one was skipped?

Remember that if it is being used as a refrigerator, it needs to be fully loaded to get an accurate temperature reading. In an empty unit, temperatures vary widely due to air fluctuations.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There’s not really a refrigerator portion. You either use it as a freezer OR a refrigerator. We chose to use it as a freezer and it’s worked wonderfully for us.
