“When adding an ice maker, can the water be filtered or will the ice be made from the tap water that is connected to the refrigerator?”

• The water comes from the tap but I am pretty sure you can add a filter to the line. But every time it needs to be changed you would have to pull the frig out. My old frig was this way. My new frig is the same way too but I filtered the whole house at the water source so all taps are filtered.
