My Cable box is 16 inches wide, however they vary in width. Either way the stand / feet width on the 22" Tv is about 18 inches apart. Therefore you would have to (Suggestion) get a 6" board by 20 inches long and paint it Flat Black, set it on top of of the Cable box to bridge the short Cable box width. (But check Ventilation of the Cable Box first.) However The Cable box will NOT balance on top of the TV, it's thin at the top. This TV is feather / Light weight, Two fingers can hold it up. (Suggestion) Mount it to the Wall like a Picture Frame. It comes with 4 screws to attach a mount to the back. On another 22" TV I wrapped thin wire to the top two screws and hung it on the Wall like a Picture, 3 years later it's still hanging.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For the 22" Insignia, the inside dimensions from one of the V feet/stands to the other is a little over 17" inches. The outside dimensions of the feet/stand is closer to 18" inches. If your cable box is 18" inches or more in length it should fit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not using a cable box, but it will not fit on top of a box because of the way the legs are placed, but not underneath either...There is only about 2 in. clearance underneath. I purchased a desktop TV stand from Amazon, that will lift it 4-5 inches off of the desk...Hope this helps...
