Of course! But do keep in mind that as the room temp fluctuates, so will the temp inside the wine cooler. The smaller the cooler, the more likely the temp is to vary. If you want to be certain that the wine will remain at a consistent temp, get a large fridge. Most wines can tolerate some temp fluctuation so if you aren't storing a $250 bottle for a decade, you'll probably be fine. Otherwise, put the cooler where it works for you. It takes some of the panache' out of pulling a bottle of wine from you personal cellar when you have to go into the laundry room, but really, who cares? Salud!
