“What types of files can be played on the DVD drive? Will it only work with formal DVD movies, or can it also play videos from a computer format like .MOV .AVI etc? and if it can, can it play them loop?”

We can only guarantee that commercially produced DVDs will work on the player. Also there is not a loop function for the onboard DVD player.
