We have Cox cable and since they went to an all digital signal, their small free box is required. Before they went to digital we would have not needed a box, but of course we would not have received the HD signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No I directly hooked it up to a cable in the house run into the guest room and it picked up the channels easily. I am a Bright house customer and have a box in the living room but this is directly wired into the wall.
