“is the front of this dishwasher "finished"? I.e does it require a kitchen panel to go on the front or just the plinth or neither? can you switch off the led lights if desired? does it dry the dishes well?”

Yes,the front of the dishwasher is finished. As for the led lights -there is an issue with the E9 warning light that comes on intermittently at random. The E9 light is malfunctioning and will not go off and the only way I can get the dishwasher to start when this happens is to throw the breaker switch. The Geek Tech has been diligently working to fix this, but the problem is in trying to get a replacement part from INSIGNIA. Apparently the part has been on back order for quite some time. Again, the replacement part was supposed to arrive this week and has not. Seems like INSIGNIA could do better. To answer your question about drying - it dries fine except for plastic. But the problem with the led is a major pain!!!!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the white one and it is finished white so it does not get a built in panel option. The led lights are great for helping to determine the dishes are clean and turn off on their own if the door is held open for very long I do not know of any way to turn them off yourself or why you would want to. I do not use the dry feature and once it cools my dishes are always dry to my satisfaction so I am pretty sure if you used the dry feature it would be great as well the stainless interior helps this dry faster as well as metal holds the heat better

There are no red lights visible on the front. The readouts are on the top of the door and are concealed when the door is closed. There is a blue light that shines on the floor when the unit is running since it is very quiet. Ours dries well. This dishwasher has good features for the price.

Problem since day 1 with E9 led light malfunctioning and intermittently coming on. The tech is diligently trying to fix this but problem has been in getting factory replacement part delivered. Apparently the part has been on backorder for some time, and l’m still waiting for resolution. In the meantime I continually have to throw the breaker switch so that the E9 light goes off and the washer can operate. MOST annoying.
