A:Answer It needs to have the door open to operate any of the controls. Annoyingly if pressed accidentally you will need to press DELAY 23 more times to start the washer. Also you need to Arm the thing by pressing start then closing the door. If it doesn't start then open the door ,press start so u hear only one beep, then close door. Blue led lights on floor.
I think you mean in normal non washing time....so I would say if you shut the door complete the annoying dashed window is there only in certain modes. Put it in normal and it should go blank. Make sure air exchange is off or it will run every 6 hrs. Regarding current draw while off.....If you buy one of those smart eco switches you could see how much power it draws. Would be interesting to know .
