“Just installed this dishwasher yesterday. Ran a test run and it threw code E1 and did not drain the water. Checked drain hose and all clear. Very frustrating. Had to hand bail out the water from the tub. Can't figure out why it won't drain.”

The anti-siphon valve of the air breather on the left side dishwasher is not working when there is drainage siphon. Please knock the air breather several times in order to exhaust air on the drainage pipeline, it will drain out the water normally.
