“3 different 90 degree water inlet elbows, none of them can screw into the valve for more than 3.5 turns. Can anyone please recommend an out of spec elbow to fit this out of spec water inlet? How many threads is enough to secure the elbow? Thanks.”

Need a 90 with one side 3/8" pipe thread to thread into the unit and the other to mate with your water supply line. In my case it was a 3/8" ferrule thread.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use a decent amount of plumber’s tape and screw it in as far as it will go. I didn’t use enough tape at first and the fitting had a slow drip. Added more tape and it works perfectly now.
