What does top control mean? null

The controls are on the top flat edge of the door and can only be accessed when the door is open.

Buttons on the flat surface on top of door. (vs. on front of door …. like older models) Buttons can only be set/pushed when door is open. But you can see the lights of the buttons when the door is shut.
