It has not drained mine enough for me to notice. If it did I would get a new car battery and have a mechanic trained in electrical check for other draws.

This device has a very small blue light that shows that it is getting power and if nothing is hooked up to the charger it will not draw enough power with the blue light on to make any difference at all…. For more piece of mind try your other power outlets and see if any are switched, as in on when the car is running and off when shut off, the little blue light shows when it has power.
