“Is a 4k HDMI connector different than a "standard" HDMI cable or is it the cable quality that allows it to support 4k?”

• It has the same connector as a standard HDMI Cable and your right its the quality that supprts the higher picture quality like 4k

• 4K is standard now. I looked for " regular hdmi cables" and all they have is 4K. The best buy guy told me this is now standard and will still work for all older electronics.
