You will really need to describe both to a knowledgeable Best Buy team member for the best answers. However, I can tell you that for simple stereo (right a left only) audio at a large desk or small to medium room, or for a good upgrade from a television's built-in speakers or a budget soundbar without a subwoofer, these speakers really sound great to me. I use them without a sub for my bedroom TV/BluRay/DVD/CD and for listening to music from my phone wirelessly via the excellent built-in Bluetooth feature of these speakers. These have very good bass, mids, and treble and can get plenty loud enough (within reason) without distorting. You can even surprise yourself (as I just did) with even way, way, shockingly better Bluetooth sound by connecting an outboard (separate) much higher quality (and expensive e.g. $120 - $200) Bluetooth receiver to these speakers via the RCA inputs on the rear of the right speaker. They are a huge bargain, especially on sale. Definitely good enough to buy first, and then figure out where you might use them. They absolutely sound premium and do not sound like cheap speakers, at all.

Mine Did not Connect using Bluetooth to My TV. I was able to connect to my TV by using the TV's Aux Out feature, on my TV Set using a set of RCA Cables. The RCA Cables used were a 25 and 12 foot long pair of RCA cables. This works great for me. One speaker plugs into 120v AC, It has the amplifier, 6 feet of wire is provided to connect the passive speaker to the Speaker with the Amplifier in it. The 6 feet of wire is too short to be useful, but any 14-18ga stranded speaker wire can be used if you want them further apart. The Remote control has to be pointed right at the LED on the front of the speaker, otherwise it may not work. I thought my system was dead until I figured this out. Has worked fine ever since.
