I'm no expert, but it could possibly be one or more of the following: either the cord you plugged into the aux input was not plugged in all of the way, or possibly it's dirty inside the aux port (I've had both happen to me before). Make sure the speaker wires that came with the speakers are plugged into the correct ports (mine has the copper colored wire into the red and the silver colored wire into the black). Also make sure none of your wires or cords are kinked or cut. I hope any of this helps.
