Connection thru a receiver is your best bet for better sound quality! I also run the turntable thru it as well. Depending on the age of the receiver you may need to use a pre-amp. My daughter speakers sound much better and it gives you more control.

I have my basement set of these speakers plugged into a TV down there and they work fine. When TV isn’t on I stream music from computer or phone via Bluetooth.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That is true, these are powered speakers. An amp connects to wired speakers and would need RCA red/white connectors for input from turntable. Those powered speakers are made to be used direct as they have “power or amplification” built in Most people put those speakers in a garage or bring to patio area to enjoy streamed music from phone or laptop. Look at lower priced speakers like Polk for around $100 that would work with your Pyle
