To adjust the freezer temperature press and hold the Lock light for three seconds. Then press the Freezer Temp and it will cycle between the values +6 and -6. We keep it at +6 and that is cold. Same process for the fridge temp. All modern fridges make some noise as they cycle the air flow. Mine doesn't beep but it does make a mix of soft noises and it's usually due to the fan speed and the ice maker. The fan on the Insignia is pretty quiet even when on high and I'm fussy about noise. Not much can be done about ice maker noise - they all do it.

The beeping happens for several reasons: when a door is open for longer than 30sec or when the unit goes from unlocked to locked mode.

Please try again later.Press the FRZ.TEMP button to select the freezer compartment and display, then press the button again to lower the temperature in the freezer compartment by one degree. If the refrigerator door is not closed for two minutes, a buzzer sounds once a second until the door is closed.
