Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can access the ice from the interior ice bin. Here's what you need to do. There are four short screws holding the cosmetic front safety panel in front of the ice bin. Remove the four screws and the useless panel comes off and you have direct access to interior ice. All fridges have these idiotic panels but at least Insignia makes it easy to have it your way.

If you need a large amount of cubed ice, open the freezer door and remove the ice storage bin from the freezer. Replace the ice storage bin when you are finished. David M. - Insignia Support
