• Yes it will. But the input won't fit on your phone if you have a protective case over it.

• Yes it is. I have an iPhone 6 and I use it with this adaptor. It works perfectly. You do have to adjust the volume on your device (high) and your stereo system (low) to find the right mix to avoid buzzing. Just make sure your cassette player can play continuous loop cassette -- some kick it out, and that you can insert the tape width wise.
