• Well sure you could, but you'd have to keep filling it with ice every day. Basically, you'd have the equivalent of a plastic insulated Coleman cooler only much heavier and more difficult to transport. And BTW, it's a freezer not a refrigerator. ;-)

• Why in the world would you buy a freezer and use it unplugged? Get a big cooler.

• You can but I wouldn't recommend it. Wouldn't stay cold enough not being plugged in.

• No. It requires electricity to run the compressor and cannot be used in wet environments.
