“Previous Q/As say that laying the unit down for local transport will not damage the unit operation. OTOH, warranty states not to tilt more than 45° from upright position during transport. Will its warranty be voided with local horizontal transport?”

If you do lay it down for transport just make sure that it’s left in the upright position for at least 24 hours. I can’t see where that would void the warranty. I have this same one and haven’t had any issues, I’m totally pleased.
