The little workhorse!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been six months since we purchased this little guy and we are still just as pleased with it as the day we picked it up. We live in a poorly designed efficiency apartment with a kitchen space that is only large enough to accommodate a college size refrigerator. When you enjoy cooking and batch preparation, that simply won't do. I've always wanted a chest freezer but we don't have space to accommodate the larger models. Most freezers sold out at the begging of 2020 so it took ages for this guy to come back I'm stock. The minute we saw it we pounced. Its compact size makes it pricier than larger models, but so far the performance has justified the expense. We keep it just above mild as we've found that to be the ideal temperature to prevent freezer burn. It's whisper quite which is a bonus considering it's about six feet from where we sleep. As with all chest freezers the only drawback would be depth. I have t-rex arms so I've had to use the long tongs to grab stuff at the bottom. That is until my partner started storing things in handle bags for easy access. But I can't really blame the freezer for my genetic shortcomings.

Great freezer at an unbeatable price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this on sale and could not pass up this steal of a price. It was delivered by Best Buy (not UPS or FedEx) and the guys brought it right in and there was no damage at all. It’s small enough to fit into our apartment, but has more space inside than we actually need for now. I got tired of not being able to buy as much frozen food as I wanted with limited space I our regular fridge/freezer, so now I can shop in bulk and make less trips to the store.

The product is great
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the Insignia Deep Fridge for about 2 years now, and it's been a great addition to my home. The storage capacity is impressive, allowing me to store a large amount of food and beverages without any issues. It's been very handy, especially for stocking up on frozen goods. The performance has been consistently good, maintaining the right temperature to keep everything fresh. I haven't encountered any significant problems with it, which speaks to its reliability and durability. The design is also quite sleek and fits well in my space. Overall, I highly recommend the Insignia Deep Fridge for anyone in need of a dependable and spacious freezer.

Need a little more space? This is it!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very impressive! For those that want/need a little more space, this is it. But in fact, you will get a lot more space. Bought for my basement to stock up on corned beef sales during March when they are a fraction of the original price. This 3.5 chest freezer holds 14 corned beef briskets, a whole ham (cut into dinner portions of course) two steaks, 6 lbs. of ground beef, 2 pork loin roasts, an included basket which holds a lot, and a 4 quart lidded bin of smaller items. It is totally silent when running and in 5 months has gathered no frost. The leveling legs were an added bonus, and the illuminated (ON) light is perfect for just a glance. I did move this freezer myself as one person can pick it up. And it fit on its side in the backseat of a 4 door sedan. I just left it sitting upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. "That's very important". Sticker says $23 yearly, but I've noticed no change to electric bill. It's compact size fits just about anywhere. But don't be deceived by the outside. It holds a LOT! I absolutely love this freezer and wish I had bought it a few years ago. I did not buy the optional warranty from Best Buy. Instead I paid with a credit card which protects appliances from fault for an additional 3 year period. So check your credit cards to see if you have this protection built in. I used a Capital One card.

Good little freezer
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve always had a deep freezer even before This pandemic. Our last freezer was 3 of these put together and we would have food for 2 months. Since we’ve move to smaller place we bough this one for $158.99. I was shock how much it could hold for a family of 5. We go to Costco once a month, we are able to store it all, we do our grocery run once a month and only buy Fresh fruit in and veggies Has needed at our grocery store. This little freezer has been stuffed like a sausage and it still keeps everything frozen. We also have a vacuum Sealer we buy meat in bulk and vacuum seal it. A little tip Costco has a tube of 10lb ground beef, it’s not display or advertised just ask in the meat department for it, with meat limitation to 3 that has help feed us for the month.

Small but mighty
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been wanting a deep freezer and when this became available I had to jump on it. I live in an a small apartment so space isn't what I have much of so when I tell you it fits perfectly in my dining room it's the truth. It's not big in size but it holds enough for a family of 3 and it's quiet. I was able to fit it in the back seat of my Ford Fusion. I would definitely buy again.

Can fit in a sedan!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a chest freezer for the longest and finally found one during this “Covid-19 pandemic.” I was searching high and low for DAYS for a restock on them. A few finally became available two hours away from me in my neighbor state. I saw a review saying how someone was able to fit it in their smaller sedan (Jetta VW, I use to own one) so I knew then that it would most definitely be able to fit in my Honda Accord. The sales guy and my brother was able to slide it right in the backseat of my car without any problems (with it still in the box.) I also saw found the weight of it to be 57lbs. My brother was able to carry it without any problems to my upstair apartment. The Salesman told me to let it sit upright without plugging it in for twice the amount of time that it was on its side (Waited four hours to plug her in.) It fit perfectly in my apartment and took a couple of hours to get cold. It is small yet very large for my four person household.

A chest freezer from Best Buy!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never did I think of looking to Best Buy to purchase a chest freezer. I was comparison shopping and reading the reviews and noted that several freezers were damaged in-transit from different companies. I happened across a Best Buy ad and checked it out. I am so pleased that I did. I liked the fact that I could ship it to their store and that it would be an easy fix to return it locally and let them deal with shipping, if necessary. I also like that Insignia is Best Buys brand and finally, the freezer is everything it's advertised to be, quiet, well-built, compact, and roomy! It is the best purchase I've made all year!!!

Q: QuestionHow many pounds of food will this freezer hold?
Asked by jrls.
- A:Answer Don't knw the pounds, but when we first filled ours it had 14 2-lb hamburger rolls, 4 beef briskets, 5 to 6 lbs, 2 eye round roast, 2 bottom round roasts, 2 boxes of 12 hot dogs and a boxx of mini-mince pies. There was still some room left.

Q: Questionhow much does this product weigh?
Asked by jay.
- A:Answer I just purchased and picked up this freezer and according to the specs listed on the outside of the box, it weighs 57.3 lbs. It was pretty easy for my wife and I to get it up a flight of stairs to our apartment.

Q: QuestionIs this frost free?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. According to its manual, over time there will be a build up of frost and the freezer will have to be shut down to allow the melting frost to drain out through a drain hole. After one month's usage there has been negligible frost in mine.

Q: QuestionHi I just bought this freezer and is it okay to place the freezer on a giant piece of plywood
Asked by Laura.
- A:Answer I bought mine a couple weeks ago and i live in an apartment where i had to position it on carpet so i went to ace hardware and bought 2 small boards that fit perfectly under this freezer. I also had a plastic mat that i was not using so I placed it first on the carpet then positioned the boards, lifted the freezer and placed it. It worked out perfect. You dont want lint to get in the vents and you dont want to have a carpet repair bill. The boards keep the freezer evenenly positioned perfectly.
