I bought mine a couple weeks ago and i live in an apartment where i had to position it on carpet so i went to ace hardware and bought 2 small boards that fit perfectly under this freezer. I also had a plastic mat that i was not using so I placed it first on the carpet then positioned the boards, lifted the freezer and placed it. It worked out perfect. You dont want lint to get in the vents and you dont want to have a carpet repair bill. The boards keep the freezer evenenly positioned perfectly.
