Can you put a chest freezer on carpet? null

Yes, it is fine to put a chest freezer standing on a carpet.

According to the manual, this freezer should NOT be placed on carpet. The area where I needed to place the freezer was carpeted, so I used a piece of plywood to place on the carpet and under the freezer.
