• Not sure why but we have it in our laundry room and I can hear click several time 3 or 4 before the motor start. Very annoying.

• Yes. You might hear the motor as it cools down after you first put it on, but the sound is very minimal. While at full freezing temperature, it does not really make any sound. Overall, it is not loud at all. I have it in the laundry room. When getting ready to do laundry, I cannot hear anything from it.
