If you put this in your garage make sure it is NOT plugged into a GFCI protected circuit. Code makes most of the wall outlets GFCI, but the garage door opener outlet on the ceiling is often not GFCI. You will spend a lot more money keeping the freezer cold if it is out in the garage than in the house. I doubt this is outdoor rated, but check with the manufacturer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think outside would be advisable in extreme temperatures. My father in law had a chest freezer on his patio in Louisiana. The freezer door on top rusted out pretty quick due to a lot of condensation from the temperature extremes between the inside and outside air. Of course Arizona is a lot drier than Louisiana so maybe the condensation wouldn't be a big issue.
