“I got a Audio splitter cable from Walmart. I plugged in a DVD player and VCR in to one audio jack on my TV. The DVD worked, picture and sound OK., but the VCR had a picture and no sound or should I say you could barely hear it until I unplugged the DVD.”

Hello S61N, this device is designed to take the sound of one source to two receivers (speakers, headphones), if the device is used the other way around the receiver in this case the TV will try to work with the two devices at the same time and that's why the interfere between each other. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your purchase of the audio splitter will only work with an audio signal. The fact that your DVD picture worked has nothing to do with this product. The same can be said for the VCR. This product is only for splitting audio. Generally, audio splitters are meant to separate audio from an output source (i.e. split audio from your mobile, tablet, or stereo jack) and not allowing you to input audio from to different sources into one. I would check the manufacturers wording to verify that or not.
