“When the top is down, does it seal against odors? Do you have to use a bag inside?”

• There is no seal but plastic top closes well. Not sure about odors. There is a plastic bin insert inside, so although you could eliminate garbage bag, we have always used one.

• It is not sealed, but contains odors OK, but I would use a bag and put a layer of paper towels in the bottom is case of a leak in the bag, but the can itself is not completely sealed there are some gaps in bottom or between the side and bottom that liquid can leak out of in some cases.

• I use odor bags by Glad. It has a black ring that comes off to hold the bag inside.

• I use a 3 gallon size bag inside. We change the bag every couple days so order doesn’t seem to be a problem.
