You will need an HDMI cable, Any best buy provides would be perfect. The length is up to the situation you are in. Measure from where you are going to put the box, and to where the cord will need to reach, Get a little more lenth then that measurement and your golden

There will be an output, which will then go to whatever you use to monitor. Simply press the button on top to switch from one to the other. Works great!
