“Does anyone know why the signal keeps flickering? It will work fine for a while and then the screen starts blacking out for a few seconds. I don't have to do anything and the screen comes back on again. I have checked cable connections and they are tight.”

As the previous comment stated, use a high quality shorter cable if possible. This solved my issue. I was using a 6' foot cable (Insignia) and in reality only needed a 1 foot cable to go from this Switch to my USB-C hub.
