A:Answer The Firestick remote doesn’t operate the DirecTV , but I turn on the TV with the Firestick, then go to “system” , then inputs, and select HDMI 1, which is the input I use for DirecTV. It then quickly goes to my DirecTV channel, and I use the DurecTV remote. Easy.
