I was able to connect some ear buds for use on a treadmill. Easy to set up. However, I looked over the online manual and it did not even address this issue or how to set up. As mentioned on this page, go to settings, select connect bluetooth device and then add bluetooth device.

I have the Insignia Fire TV. Go to Settings, Controllers, move to Remote and Other Devices, move to Other Devices, Select Bluetooth, Select Other Bluetooth Devices, and there you will see a prompt that it's searching. I turned on my Bose headphones and kept pressing the on switch and it paired instantly. Hope this helps.
