Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My older 50 pt model only uses 350 watts, but the new one I bought a few weeks ago uses about 468. I have no idea why. Still, my very small space heater on a "low" setting uses abt 580 watts and does a lot less to warm a large space. I have a watt/amp/volt meter so I can check. When I use the "old" dehumidifier (same size and model but purchased in Jan 2023) to warm my home my electric bill was about 1/3 less in winter and the entire home also much warmer and dryer, but that is the cost using my older version of this unit. The new one also warms and dries well. My son also recently got a newer one so I will measure his amp X volt = watts so see if it is as efficient as my old one or his has also has increased in energy use, I bought these to both replace heaters and to keep the place dry. Being in CA near the coast, I do not need a whole heat pump/ac combo and so this was a very affordable option and uses less energy.
