“Does it have one switch or two? I'm looking for a light that has one on/off switch and a separate one that cycles through the hi/low/strobe modes, so that I don't have to cycle through all the modes every time I use it.”

Side button cycles 3 brightness modes with each single press; press and hold turns strobe on/off. The currently selected mode is in memory. It will be the mode when the flashlight is turned on next time.
