• Yes, might not be as bright since rechargeable batteries charge up to about 1.2 volts and disposable batteries are 1.5 volts but probably not noticeable.

• I don't see why not, but I've found rechargeable's don't have as much power & the charge doesn't last as long as a good quality battery. I use the same batteries that I use in my flash unit for my camera.
