The description says that it does, but I don't know for sure as I have the drain connected to a clear plastic hose draining into a 5 gallon bucket. On a humid day, it pulls a lot of water out of the air... over 5 gallons in 8 to 10 hours, so I think it would stop often if I didn't have the hose. I got the hose (need a 5/8 inch ID hose), and a hose clamp for under $ 10 at Lowes
