Can the stand legs be reversed (point inward)? null

Not gospel but, we have a very similar Insignia 39" model and I reversed the legs by removing a little plastic bump on each of the legs that are supposed to fit into a locating hole on the case of the tv. I used a razor knife but a file or any sharp tool would work.
