“When my washer is filling with water, it goes back and forth between the main water and the water that goes into the softener compartment, even though I did not select the softener function. Then it over fills the softener compartment and leaks. Help!!!”

If the valve is stuck or malfunctioning, it might be sending water to the wrong compartment. Another possibility is a clogged or misaligned dispenser tray, which can cause water to back up and overflow. Additionally, a glitch in the control board or sensors might be triggering the softener valve incorrectly.
