Has anyone had a problem with this washer getting out of balance on the spin cycle and having to be readjusted? If so how frequently? null

Yes. This washing machine is continuously giving E4. The amount of times i need to readjust a load due to it unleveling the load itself, is frustrating. Would not reccommend thus junk. Takes hours for a load!

I've had this washer 2 months and it has only happened 1 time. I had a rug and 1 other item. The washer will try 3 times to balance itself then it will give an error code. Just need to adjust items in washer and restart. I wash about 10 loads of laundry a week. Clothes, blankets, pillows, rugs, towels, etc. 1 time in 2 months seems decent enough to me. I'm sure if I'd of filled the load it may have not happened. Rug was dirty and I wanted to wash alone.

For the past few months my washer has been doing the same thing! 
I bought it 3 years ago and I’m getting sick of it now cause atm I’ve been washing and levelling this one small load for the last hour. I level the clothes then it spins and pushes everything together again…I’ll just keep washing this load until it finally levels itself out and spins the clothes properly!

YES. If it isn't level it will not work at all. I have leveled it three times and it works better now. My problem is that my house is 150 years old and there are no level spots in my house. I don't think it should be so hard to get level. The book says to start the water and check the level in the tub. There is an edge in the tub "at the bottom" you can use as a guide. Hope this helps.

Have to make sure the foot under the washer is locked otherwise it will vibrate hard.

This worked for me.

I learned to balance a washer by using a level on the top of the machine. I'm not sure if that was old school, or just wrong. But, it seemed to work.

In this case, however, it did not work at all. Out of desperation, I decided to look at the instructions. They said to level the machine by using the level on the sides and the front and back. So, I did that, and it worked.

I've had this washer in my townhome for about 8 months (June of 20-March of 21). I have experienced this issue 2-3 times. I wash about 2 small loads per week. Big and heavy items are the culprit in my case: cotton blankets, beach towels, and the like.

This is the worst washing machine i have ever had in my whole entire life. I literally lose my mind every time i wash a load of clothes. It's almost like the washer has a mind of its own.  No matter what size load.  I have leveled this washer 15999 times and i know it's not the leveling. You shouldn't have to spend 8 hrs out of your day first off just dreading to touch the thing and second just trying to wash a load.  I find myself talking to the washer really it drives me insane. Worst appliance ever made and insignia should take it off the market bc i believe they know it too but it's all about the money.  Yea we know it's bad so let's drop the price and make people feel they getting a good deal then when they start calling about it we will give them the run around till they finally give up and stop calling.  Yelp we can all hear them now. The dryer on the other hand is awesome.  I will give them credit for that.  I can't even give this washer away though.

I’m having this problem now. I’ve had my washer for 2 years now and I’m so tired of having to go move clothes around. It gets stuck in a perpetual rinse & spin cycle—even when I select drain & spin. I end up having to just take everything out sopping wet for my dryer to work 3x as long. Tech is coming next Wednesday so we shall see. I just want a working washer at this point.

Yes this occurs frequently right at the start of the spin. So what I’ve discovered is if you pause the machine right before the start of the spin cycle and add a few large towels (3 to4) this usually takes care of the problem. This prevents the wet clothes from being pushed to one side thus creating the unbalance caused by the agitator

My appartment came with an Ensignia washer/dryer set. We have been here for a year and every singlwe time I try to wash a load it gives me the E4 error. The way it agitates in the rinse cycle it moves all of the clothes to one side before the spin cycle. I wouldn't reccomend buying this brand. I know I never will.

Yes, and it's every other wash. I can't get through a single load without it having an e1 status. Only if I wash a load of socks with like 5 of them and some underwear it's probably fine! I had one half this size and no issue. I bought mine in febuary 2024 and it broke down in July 2024!!! I'm highly upset, do NOT buy this model I can not express this enough. Do not allow them to talk you into it, you can wash the clothing faster by hand. This is going to break down and you will be left with a hunk of metal and need to buy a new one right after your 1 year warranty runs out since it's over 200 for a repair.

Yes, I always have to do a full load otherwise it throws this error. Has nothing to do with the level of the washer. The agitator is terrible as well.

I wish this had been in the reviews when I purchased it years ago, I wouldn’t have bought it. I rarely have a full load of laundry.

Yes.. i purchased a couple of years ago . Was only able to use it for a month or two. My kids where scared of the noise. Maintenance came. Said it was the balance.  Haven't heard anything since. And still in my laundry room. I think this is bad business on behalf of best and the manufacturer

Yes! At first this washer worked fine, I never moved it but suddenly it stops and the E4 comes on and it will start putting more water in, I never had to readjust it for a year and now this is happening. To get a repair guy out here is expensive, if I just put maybe 4 lightweight items in it works fine but my warranty expired while it was working fine, go figure!
