I had the same problem. Thought the compressor went out. It didn't, I did not turn it off (0) on dial before I unplugged it. You need to do that, unplug it and then wait a day. Plug it back in and turn on the dial to the degree of cold you would like. If this doesn't work, contact Best Buy and they will work something out for you.
