We followed the instructions in the manual and it has worked like it should. I have the settings set at 4 and it keeps my beer cold in the refrigerator and my ice cream frozen in the freezer. I also use the ice tray that came with the fridge to make my ice and it keeps them frozen. Hope this helps.

Is the room it is in warmer than an average? Is the refrigerator placed near a source of heat (heating vent, space heater, furnace, radiator, etc.)? Did you follow the instructions for shipping and unpacking. etc.? Also, have you tried leaving it at 7, or at least above 5?
