Hi, Thank you for the question. The Insignia NS‑CF45TMSS26L refrigerator cannot be turned off without unplugging it. This model does not include a power button or on/off switch, so disconnecting it from the electrical outlet is the only way to fully shut it down. Manisha | Insignia Products
