• The dash symbol, next to the 9, would be used in place of the decimal.

• You may not even need to enter the period; just try entering 531. I have an Insignia Digital Converter that required dashes, such as 53-1, but I found that it isn't necessary to enter the dash, even though the remote that came with the converter has a dash on it.
