“Does this allow an External HD to be used thru it?”

• No you can not use this on the PS4 slim it will tell you Cannot use the external storage device. Connect it directly to the PS4. (CE-41899-1) Is exactly what it says as I just copied it from my screen. I have a headset that requires 1 port and the other I have to swap it between the storage and the charger - I have a scuf so it doesn't sit in the cradle of the other charger due to the back paddles. So when I saw this product I instantly bought it and now that I know it doesn't work sorta ticked that it is advertised as working for the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim.

• It does not. The USB plugs are modular however so you can remove one, shift the hub to the left and use the right port on the PS4 for an external drive

• I just got this today, and that is the main reason why. I got a pro, and am already running out of space, given that all 4 ports are usb 3.0 I have to assume this will allow an external hd to be used through it, as long as the External HD is 3.0 as well.

• Yes, you can use an external HD just like you could if you were hooking it up to one of the original USB ports.
