On the back of the hub, there is a USB-C port that says 5V DC that you can attempt to power the hub with. Hard drives are typically more power hungry than mice and keyboards. You're better off plugging peripherals into the hub and hard drives directly into the computer to get best read and write speeds and have each hard drive properly powered. Maybe consider getting an externally powered large storage eHD or RAID set up for consolidation.
