“Following the instructions for the initial "burn off" the oven does not heat. Is this a defect?”

• I agree that the instructions are not very clear however here is how to do it. 1. Turn the top knob to toaster 2. Turn the bottom knob to the darkest toast setting(all the way around to the last setting) 3. Turn the middle knob to 15 minutes. This will now burn the oil residue off the inside of the toaster oven.

• When I bought mine I just plugged it in and turned it on. I forgot about the initial burn off, but I cooked right from the start.
