- Answer Yes, the heating elements are top and bottom for the broiling option. Takes about 5 minutes to get up to heat range.

QuestionDoes this toaster oven make noise while it's on? I bought one that had a ticking sound the entire time it was cooking something which is very annoying to me so I'm looking for one that is quiet. Thank you!

- Answer The crumb tray opens up for emptying and cleaning but it does not come out. A wet rag or sponge will handle it. I have had no problems with it.

QuestionDoes the exterior of the oven get hot to touch? Will you get burned from touching the outside of the oven?

- Answer Yes. The glass front does get hot. Just standing near the appliance one can feel the heat. The handle is not hot to the touch.

- Answer You turn the knob. If you turned the knob to 15 minutes, and now you only want 10 minutes, turn the knob to 10 minutes.

QuestionData does not list number of elements. This affects the even-ness of the browning on toast etc. If just 2 elements, one at top one on bottom, I won't want it. Needs to have 4 - 2 on top and 2 and 2 on bottom - for even browning.

QuestionFollowing the instructions for the initial "burn off" the oven does not heat. Is this a defect?

- Answer I agree that the instructions are not very clear however here is how to do it. 1. Turn the top knob to toaster 2. Turn the bottom knob to the darkest toast setting(all the way around to the last setting) 3. Turn the middle knob to 15 minutes. This will now burn the oil residue off the inside of the toaster oven.
